Governor's Island w/ Jarett & Matt

Join RAs Jarett & Matt as they lead a group of Goddardites - and anyone that wants to come - to Governor's Island. It's only open to the public on the weekends, when there is a free ferry. We'll meet in the lobby bright and early @ 9am (I know it's a sacrifice, but it'll be worth it!) so we can make sure we're on the first ferry to the island. Once we get to the island you can rent kites and bikes for free, check out the Waterfall, see the artist's wall, etc. Jarett will bring my bike with a football, soccer ball, and frisbee for anyone interested!

All you need is a metrocard to get down to and back from the ferry. You can leave whenever you want, i.e. if you're going on any of the Tenement House trips, or you can linger around all day. Also, I'd bring snacks or food because I can't guarantee there will be anything there.

We hope to see you out to enjoy one of NYC's rarest attractions...and the oldest colonized island by the Dutch!
