Earth Week

Happy Earth Week !!! I hope living in the Goddard community has sparked your desire to become green leaders, advocates for our planet and stewards of environmental justice. Get out and do something for mama Earth this week. Have a happy Earth Week and Day (April 22nd)

• MILLION TREES NYC in Spring Creek Park, Brooklyn!! Saturday, April 24th from 9am-2pm. We will meet in the lobby at 8am to go to our site in Brooklyn! (I'll have metro cards for those who RSVP'd) No open spots left :( But you can tag along if you bring your own metro card !
  
• Check out the link at the top for Earth Day events and If you're looking for something else to do on Earth Day (April 22nd): The Stormwater Infrastructure Matters (S.W.I.M.) Coalition invites you to join in for the first view of Minds in the Gutter, a juried exhibit of stormwater management designs for the public right-of-way. www.mindsinthegutter.org. Where: The Museum of the City of New York, 1220 Fifth Avenue at 103rd Street (Email Sara Pesek for more info: peseks@gmail.com)
  
• Friday, April 23rd: I'll be giving a presentation called, "Apples, Thirst and War: the story of my relationship with water" at Kimmel sometime between 6-8pm.

• Thursday, April 22nd: NYU Earth Day Fair at 12pm (Washington Pl) and NYU Earth Day Dinner at 7pm (4th Fl Kimmel)
• Saturday, April 24th: Million Trees Planting Day, meet in lobby at 8am (meet in lobby at 8am) ALL SPOTS FULL
  
• Sunday, April 25th: Bike riding on the Hudson, 3pm meet in lobby (walking over to the Hudson river, renting bikes for an hour!) Please RSVP if you are coming!
