More Welcome Week

Coming up tomorrow (Thursday)

"Hair" in Central Park with the "All the World's a Stage" Stream (5:30am to get Tickets, 8:00pm showtime)
Yep it's an early morning, but "Let the Sun Shine" on you as you join your new Goddard friends in getting tickets for one of the hottest, most popular shows of the 2008 summer! After you get your tix, the group will meet again at 7pm in the Goddard lobby to head back up to Central Park for the show. If you're in "ATWAS" then you definitely want to try and come to your stream's first program - you'll get to meet your amazing Faculty Affiliate Chris Stahl. AND, you'll also be hanging out with the ATWAS RA Chris Bowser (of 3rd floor fame) - he's pretty swell too! :)

Potluck with Goddard Faculty (Thursday, 1:00pm - 3:00pm)
Stop in anytime between 1 and 3 tomorrow and mingle informally with the amazing Faculty of the Goddard Residential College. Nearly all of the Stream Faculty Affiliates will be in attendance to meet and greet the students of their stream! They'll also be bringing their favorite deliscious dishes from home. AND, since it's a potluck - you should bring something too. It can be anything (store bought is fine, if you don't have the time or say a 'kitchen' to cook in haha); like a box of triscuits...some cupcakes from Crumbs, a couple cans of soda, whatever. Just bring SOMETHING - and enjoy sampling what everyone else brings!

This Potluck will be your first chance to meet our Faculty Fellow in Residence, Dr. Rogan Kersh! Rogan is an amazing person and fantastic Faculty member at NYU - the experience you will have this year working with and learning from him will be invaluable - definitely stop in during the potluck to meet him, along with the other Faculty Affiliates & Writing the Essay Instructors.

NYC Photo-Scavenger Hunt (Thursday, 3:00pm)
Oh it's on!!! The first of several floor competitions we'll be having this year to determine which floor is tops at the GRC! RAs Matt & Chris have planned an incredibly fun photo scavenger hunt that will have floor teams competing to document themselves doing some of the funniest and interesting things in NYC. Make sure your floor is represented well - the winning group wins a Free Pizza Party for their floor!!!

Lastly, a follow-up from Matt & Jarett in regards to their hugely successful East Village Walking tour yesterday: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/14/arts/14expl.html?pagewanted=1&_r=1
